5 Questions with Ana Maria Munoz

Q: Item of clothing you can’t live without?
My J.Crew Pixie pant. I don’t think I’ve ever worn anything so much in my life! It’s extremely versatile and the polished to comfort ratio is unbeatable. The zipper and seams in the back add a nice edgy touch, too.
Q: Favorite tool in your creative arsenal? Currently it’s the TeuxDeux app for iPhone. My mind is always racing with diy projects and design ideas so if I don’t have my trusty moleskin handy, I use TeuxDuex to remind me about them later. It’s quick, intuitive, and has a super simple design (very important to me). I use it for my daily “to-do’s” but it’s great for jotting down creative spurts of inspiration while on the go.
Q: Totally obsessed with? Really nice pens. I know it sounds strange but when I photographed the vintage pen holder for my shop I used slim black pens that feature a colorful crystal on the top. I’ve been using them ever since and because I hardly ever put pen to paper these days, when I do it’s really nice to have a pen that I enjoy using. During the past several years I’ve been shifting towards owning less “stuff” and emphasizing more on items that are of good quality and are aesthetically pleasing to me. I guess pens are the latest in that effort!
Q: Currently craving? New music. I was so good about seeking new bands out while in college but then life happened and before I knew it, my iTunes library had collected years of dust! I’ve started following sites such as mySpoonful, Stereogum, and The Guardian’s New Band of The Day that highlight new artists and albums. Currently on heavy rotation is the band Real Estate, really loving their mellow vibe.
Q: Currently working on? Re-designing my personal lifestyle blog. I’m really happy with how The Pond Market turned out so now it’s time to give my virtual nook some much needed TLC. I might take some design cues from a recent Anthropologie purchase – I love the vintage style pattern and playful color combo!

Thanks for having me, Leah!
Great little collection. Love the anthro skirt.
this might sound funny, but i can totally relate about the pen thing. i like the idea of having less and less ‘stuff’ and just a little bit of what you really need. i also love the sentiment on your blog, what i like most about my home is who i share it with.
Aw, thanks for the sweet comment Kelli! And it doesn’t sound funny at all, I feel the same way.
