Meet the fabulously talented food blogger Jess Simpson behind Forgiving Martha. I recently met Jess (and by *met I mean in the social media world) just before Christmas when I sat coveting her Chocolate Covered Orange peels here on Camille Styles. Those are some serious drool-over-your-keyboard kinds of Chocolate Orange Peels people! But anyway, once you read her blog you can’t help but love her down to earth writing style and sheer talent at creating both Gluten Free and traditional foods and sweets. So now without further ado…let’s see how Jess answered her 5 Questions:

Q: Item of clothing you can’t live without:  My saddle boots are a fall, winter and spring staple in my wardrobe.  Honestly, no outfit is complete without them.  And now that I think about it, summer isn’t excluded either.  I’ve been known to don my boots along with shorts in 100+ degree heat.

Q: Favorite tool in your creative arsenal:  Definitely my beloved Kitchen Aid Mixer!  My Dad gave her to me as a Valentine’s Day gift one year and she will forever be part of my heart and kitchen.

Q: Totally obsessed with: I adore Kendra Scott Jewelry! I practically live in her Karina earrings and find myself popping into her flagship store here in Austin all too often to check out her new pieces.  I love the way her bold pops of color can be the pièce de résistance to an outfit.

Q: Currently craving: As an avid baker, I’m knee-deep in sweets on a daily basis.  So when a craving hits, more often than not, it’s of the salty variety.  Castelvetrano olives are my favorite snack.  And in the spirit of full disclosure, I’d by lying if I said I haven’t made an entire meal of olives once or twice.

Q: Currently working on:  I’m on a quest to develop the perfect recipe for gluten-free red velvet cupcakes.  This is no short-term project, as those gluten-free flours are tricky business.  But, considering red velvet is my absolute favorite, I’m fairly determined.
