One of the best things about starting this blog was the network of other creative, fun and talented people of whom I have had the good fortune of meeting as a result. One of those creatives is Victoria: owner of the stationery and paper goods company Victory Paper Designs, blogger over at Victory Paper Blog and loyal daily reader of Freutcake! Just last month I was honored to be asked by Victoria to take part in her interview series In the Creative Suite where I shared a few facts about myself (read the interview here). Now it’s time to get to know a little more about Victoria:

Q: Item of clothing you can’t live without? I’m a firm believer that sensible shoes lead to a sensible mind. I have a large selection of comfy ballet flats that are my go-to items in my closet; they’re super cute without being super fussy and I can spend more time looking up while trotting around town instead of examining sidewalk cracks and grates that a heel would get caught in. The Gap and Steve Madden carry my fave affordable styles.

Q: Favorite tool in your creative arsenal? My line of work is digitized, so my digital tools in Illustrator are fundamental to my projects. Creating seamless pattern swatches is the most fun for me as I love a pop of color and pattern.

Q: Totally obsessed with? Right now my boyfriend and I are in the process of buying a house! We’re super excited to spread our wings out from our itty bitty apartment and I may be jumping the gun a bit here, but I’m already planning my mode of attack in decorating! I’ve been going back to consult with Domino’s Book of Decorating and am making sure to frequent Apartment Therapy on the regular. I’m obsessed with the idea of fusing together mid-century modern with girlish Hollywood Regency. Would Emily Henderson call us “Mid-Century Glam”?

Q: Currently craving? With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I’m certainly craving the turkey feast to come! Every year I try to pitch in at least one course to my mom’s dinner, and this year I’m thinking of attempting this pumpkin cheesecake in all its deliciousness…or you know, I’ll probably end up buying the one at Trader Joe’s cause that doesn’t involve me exposing my lack of culinary skills.

Q: Currently working on? Right now I’m working on filling orders and building the inventory in my shoppe for the holidays! These hanging gift tags require the most time to produce, so I’m crankin away on those!

Thanks Victoria!

I just read your interview (on Victoria’s site) and I died laughing on the first question. I too made a solumn vow to avoid smelling anything like her, so I became an Interior Designer.haha
