My favorite thing to do during the Holidays is decorate my tree. I am always on the look out for simple and beautiful ornaments. A fun way to fix this is actually making the ornaments! This simple DIY is a fun way to make your Christmas a little more festive! Follow below to make your own!
What you will need:
3 sheets of 12” x 12” paper
1 hole puncher
1 12” ruler
pack of gold brads
Fishing wire or ribbon
1. Cut your sheet of paper to 1” strips
2. Measure out 1 4” strip, 2 6” strips and 2 8” strips.
3. Line up the strips as 8”, 6”, 4”, 6”, 8”. Make a hole in the middle of the end of the paper. Do again to the other side. (Make sure the smallest paper is included)
4. Fasten your brad through the first hole you made. Squish the paper so all of the holes on the other end line up, then fasten the second brad. Note: An easier way of doing this if you do not have brads is to staple the paper instead.
5. Cut your fishing wire (or ribbon) to 6”. Tie a loop knot through the middle of the ornament. Done!

These modern paper ornaments are so beautiful and simple. It is a great DIY for every age! You can make several or a few to add to your tree! Have fun experimenting with different sizes as well. Enjoy!

How beautiful! This is a great way for me to use some of the gorgeous scrapbook paper I love to buy at Michael's. Seriously, I buy it because it's pretty but I never use it!

That's a great idea! I have a bad habit of buying pretty paper as well. 🙂 We are definitely sisters.
