Goodbye San Clemente

2012 July 31

Have you ever noticed that the big changes in life seem to come at the most unexpected of times? I think it happens that way so that we don’t have time to panic or freak-out anticipating its arrival. (That’s just my theory.) About a week ago, when all signs pointed to us moving home to Los Angeles, my stomach did that sort of good-bad-flip that happens when I know one chapter of my life is ending and a new one is about to begin. After six years of living in San Clemente, our time in this beautiful place has come to an end…

Moving san clemente 1 Goodbye San Clemente

I sure will miss: Surfin’ Donuts // The surf (for Jason) // South of Nick’s // OCMA // the beach // Fukada’s Spicy Tuna Don…

Moving san clemente 2 Goodbye San Clemente

Our running trail // The Lab & The Camp // The best Taco Tuesday EVER // San Clemente Pier // The feeling of being on vacation, daily // The Crow Bar & Kitchen // Not pictured: My favorite little Knitting Studio, The OC Mix Mart, our condo, and most importantly our friends.

Yup, my stomach just did that little flip again…but I’ll take it as a sign of exciting things to come!

I just did the same thing. I moved out of San Diego and back to San Francisco. A huge move, but it’s been worth so far! Some times changes are so good! Good luck in LA!!!

Not every one has had the opportunity to live in “paradise”. It’s always been so nice to visit you at the beach, but it will be so much nicer to have you close to home. I’m really looking forward to spending more time with you in this next chapter of your life! Oh….could you get the recipe for Tressles before you head north? LOL

Oh Leah, you are such a beautiful breath of fresh air. Wonderful things happen all around you. I’m sure your move to LA will be a wonderful move. You don’t strike me as a “Mistake Maker”. Wishing you well in your new adventure. Well see you soon on some day trips to San Clemente. ( After all, You’re not moving to Japan, right?) So next time you need to sit and Knit come on by for a visit. I’m flattered you will miss Strands Knitting Studio, We will Miss you. Don’t be a stranger Okay

All the best for your move! Selfishly I’m happy that you’d be moving to LA because that means you’d be blogging more about LA so I’d know what to visit in LA (I’m an LA transplant who still seems to not really know LA that well after 4 years here). Looking forward to the LA content!
