Palm Springs Weekend
For Jason and I, Palm Springs holds a very special place in our hearts. It’s one of our favorite destinations to vacation and the city where we had our wedding. So much history and love is wrapped around Palm Springs and last weekend’s trip was one of our best yet. Naturally I brought my camera along to document every moment!
The weather was a pleasant 80 degrees, sunny and breezy; which meant lots of time spent sipping cocktails and relaxing in the spa. (Even Jason can take a good picture with my new camera-no small feat!)
The very best part of our weekend was the time we spent together in a place we both find so much inspiration. I may have got a little photo happy…but Jason was a good sport about it, mostly.
There is no limit of amazing and beautifully designed hotels in Palm Springs. I couldn’t resist photographing the colorful Saguaro hotel. It’s like a giant candy bar stuck in the middle of the dessert.
On Saturday we spent the afternoon having lunch poolside at the Viceroy, the hotel where we got married. It our first time visiting since our wedding day and the grounds were just a beautiful as I remembered. It’s a good thing the camera wasn’t pointed on me…emotional wreck!
In full tourist fashion we followed a driving tour of Palm Springs, stopping to photograph all of the amazing Mid-Century Modernist architecture. These two homes are two of my favorites.
While it was hard to leave this magical weekend behind, I am happy I took the time to photograph the city that has become so special to us as a couple. I’ve been searching for some new art for our home. I think a few of these photos will definitely make the walls!
This post is sponsored by Panasonic and shot using the Panasonic #Lumix G5 Camera and preset filters. All opinions are my own.

Geez, what stunning photos. Especially the one of you sipping your drink. Elvis and Priscilla Presley eat your hearts out! You’re so lucky to have been married in such a classically stylish place. Hope you had lots of fun!

Thank you Elena! We had the greatest time.
Aww it’s nice to have little weekend getaways! I’ve never been to Palm Springs but it is definitely on my bucket list! I love that car wash sign..so vintage & cute! The houses look completely different from where I am in New York! Love it

Yes! Palm Springs might just be the complete opposite of NY. If you get the chance you should definitely visit! I happen to love NYC just as much however.
Beautiful photos, and Leah, you look sooo pretty in that dress and head scarf
Thanks Gaby! I might just have to wear head scarves more often!
what a gorgeous place to get married! i’m sure your wedding pictures are stunning!
Thank you Rachael! I might have to share some with you.

Tammy
Thank you Tammy! We had such a great weekend there.
So glad you had such a super weekend. I would have called you but know that it was like a little honeymoon so left well enough alone! I know I did the right thing! Much love!
Thank you Jackie! It was a mini anniversary celebration for us.
There is so much visual inspiration in Palm Springs, I especially love the mid-century architecture and the yellow accents at the Viceroy!
The yellow accents at the Viceroy are one of the reasons we got married there! Love all the black, white and yellow.
I love that house. Its like that atomic type of architecture, so beautiful!
Thanks Karen, I love it too! Hope no one was home as I sat gawking at it!
SO freaking cute. You two are adorable. And I want to go to Palm Springs RIGHT now.
Thanks so much Christin!
These pictures came out so awesome…I love all the neon you’re wearing in that shot!

Loving the pictures Leah! Good job
Hi Leah! We are heading to Palm Springs for the first time in May. Do you have any recommendations and must see/do’s? Thank you!
Hi Danielle, Here are a few recommendations…
1. Stop at Hadley’s for a date shake on your way in.
2. Take the tram.
3. Drive the “Movie Star” Home tour & the Modernism Home Tours- maps available at the tourist center when you first enter town.
4. Stop by the Viceroy Hotel for lunch or drinks at the Citron pool.
5. Visit The Parker Hotel for a nice dinner at Mr. Parker or just drinks at Mr. Parker’s bar.
6. Visit the Ace for a day at the pool
7. Visit the Ace for breakfast at King’s Highway Cafe
8. Visit the Palm Springs modern art museum
Honestly, the best part of palm springs is spending the day relaxing poolside and enjoying the dry heat.
Enjoy!
Thank you so much Leah! Really appreciate your suggestions! Really can’t wait now!
