Happy Friday! If I haven’t already made it perfectly clear how much I adore the combination of lavender and honey, this post should confirm it. I’m obsessed. This weekend I’m shaking up something strong, sweet and quite unique in flavor. It’s a Lavender Bee’s Knees and it’s fabulous.

Lavender Bee's Knees- recipe via Epicurious
serves 2
¼ cup water
1 teaspoon dried culinary lavender blossoms
¼ cup honey
6 tablespoons gin
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions:
1. In a small sauce pan mix water, honey and dried lavender blossoms. Heat on low until the honey is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir and allow to cool completely.
2. Once the lavender honey mixture is cooled, strain into a small mason jar and set aside.
3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice add 3 tablespoons of the honey syrup, gin, and lemon juice. Shake well and strain into 2 chilled glasses. Garnish with a sprig of lavender!
