Lavender Lemonade
I’m mixing things up a bit today sharing a drink recipe that’s non-alcoholic. Gasp! Whatever has gotten into me? Well, it just so happens that my lavender lemonade is delicious and refreshing for summer on it’s own; however adding a splash of vodka is perfectly acceptable as well.

Lavender Lemonade
makes 1 pitcher
1 cup sugar
1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)2 tablespoons dried lavender
1. Place sugar, 1 cup water and lavender in a small sauce pan and heat stirring until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Strain out lavender reserving simple syrup.
2. Add lavender simple syrup, lemon juice and water to a pitcher and stir to combine. Serve over ice with a slice of lemon and a straw. Enjoy!

This is a perfect twist! And a welcome departure from the now-predictable (in my house anyway) mint lemonade
I can’t wait to try this. Perfect lemonade recipe for the summer!
Ok, that looks really awesome! I think I need to try that this weekend.
It so tasty! Perfect weekend drink.
