You know that whole “grass is always greener” saying? Well for years I lived in Pasadena dreaming of the day I would move away to a quiet little beach town like San Clemente and start enjoying life. Now I live in that exact sleepy little surf town and find myself setting off almost every weekend to visit LA. See what I mean…grass is always greener. This weekend however Jason and I stayed home and enjoyed an officially gorgeous beach weekend in San Clemente. After a day at the beach, a round of cucumber margaritas at our favorite local restaurant, barbequing with friends, and an afternoon poolside, I have to wonder...why don’t I stay home more often? This place is pretty darn amazing.

I think it's so true that it's easy to overlook all the amazing things that are right in your own backyard. I'm still dying to visit any part of California at all though! That beach is gorgeous
