ad·ven·tur·ous: willing to take risks or to try out new methods, ideas, or experiences. If you ask my husband Jason for his definition of “adventurous” eating, he might reply with “bone marrow” or even “a soft-boiled egg floating in your ramen.” Of these things I find nothing adventurous but rather delicious. Fugu on the other hand, well now that makes my adventurous taste buds nervous!
I hope one day Jason will venture out with food. If so he might get to experience how the yolk of a slightly gelatinous and salty soft-boiled egg, can melt into the broth of a spicy bowl of ramen from Jinya Ramen Bar and turn it into pure heaven.

We have had so much June gloom lately here in So. Cal as well. Soup totally hits the spot!
I wished I lived in the Los Angeles area because of the culture, food, and shopping. The next time I plan to visit Orange County, I will try to check out the restaurants you raved about.
I’ve found your website recently and it’s one of my favorite websites to read. I always look forward reading your post each week.
