Last weekend we moved back to Los Angeles; more specifically to Altadena. Located right at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains and filled of 100 plus year old cedar trees, Altadena is probably the farthest thing from the stereotypical "Southern California" city one can find. Growing up in this area I never quite appreciated its beauty or its uncanny ability to reach 100 degrees with no problem. With my tender San Clemente skin in full overheat-mode, Jason and I decided to forgo dinner and head to Sierra Madre for a cold scoop at Mother Moo Creamery. I'll tell you what, there is nothing quite as enjoyable as eating a scoop of organic Raw Honey ice cream in a giant waffle cone on a balmy summer evening. I might have to do this sort of thing more often!

THIS is why I want to move to the west coast...you guys have the best food! I tried Straus creamery frozen yogurt during my vacation in the Bay and it has successfully ruined all other types of yogurt for me...so good.

Oh no! That's how I feel about pizza and pretty much all Italian food after visiting NY. Ruined forever. 🙂

What?! I seriously cannot believe that. Although CA does have an abundance of fresh & organic...that is true! p.s. if I'm ever in NYC we have to get together!

No way, I used to live in Altadena! I've yet to try Mother Moo but have heard nothing but great things.
