Weekend Ice Cream Class
2012 June 18
Saturday morning I met my friend Alisa at Carmela Ice Cream to take a spring inspired ice cream making class. Carmela makes some of my favorite artisanal ice cream in Pasadena so I was more than excited to learn a few tips and tricks from them. During the class we sipped on coffee, sampled ice cream & sorbet, and learned how to make both their Lavender Honey Ice Cream and Raspberry Rose Sorbet. I can’t think of a better way to spend my Saturday morning than with a good friend, a cup of coffee and some Lavender Honey ice cream. Thank you Carmela Ice Cream for a delicious class!

What a cool Saturday indeed (no pun intended), I want to do this!
Ooh. I need to find an ice-cream making class in London!
So last night I dipped into the lavender honey ice cream and love, love, loved it!! It’s so good, and managed to check out my ice cream maker that is in fact of the hand cranking version:) Got my work cut out for me, can’t wait to test it out.
Haha good thing you have two boys to do the cranking for you! lol My pint of lavender honey is almost gone already…Jason LOVES it almost as much as we do.

Love that waffle maker
Sounds like fun! I visited Carmela’s a few weekends ago thanks to your blog post…the lavender honey was delicious!
Oh good! Glad you liked it.
ugh – I need to live near you. This looks like SO MUCH FUN
I know! You and I would have a blast being neighbors.
Lavender honey sounds divine! I truly need to invest in an ice cream maker- it looks like such a fun process
Yes! An ice cream maker is a great investment and you can get a good one for around $50. Fresh ice cream all summer long!
