Last night I dusted off my ice cream maker, stuck the bowl attachment in the freezer, and started planning what my first batch of summer homemade ice cream will be. Melissa’s recipe for Rhubarb Ice Cream is currently holding first place on my list. Doesn’t it look divine? One thing is for sure, there will be a whole lot of ice cream making going on shortly and at least one old-fashioned ice cream social thrown this summer to celebrate. Now all I need is a good pair ice cream eating pants and I’m set! So, what’s your favorite ice cream flavor?

My husband and I love making ice cream at home. When we want something quick and delicious without the guess work, we use Williams-Sonoma ice cream mixes. Otherwise, we go for a creamy vanilla with toppings!
