When Blue Diamond Almonds asked me to share some of my favorite fall activities, the list was long indeed. Visiting pumpkin patches, taking cool autumn hikes in our local mountains, baking pumpkin pies, and decorating for Halloween, are just a few of my favorite fall things.
This year however, I was most looking forward to visiting an apple orchard so Jason and I made the drive out to Oak Glen for a day spent apple picking.
We spent hours on the farm, roaming the orchards, searching for a few perfect apples, enjoying the fall-ish temperatures, and snacking on Blue Diamond Almonds.
The Granny Smith orchard was by far the most beautiful, bountiful and serene so we stopped to sit for a while in the shade before moving on. Those short little green apple trees where something straight out of a fairy tail!
After lots of apple cider drinking, picking, snacking and exploring, we headed home…excited for the giant apple pie that would be baked when we got back, but and even more content with the fact that we found a new favorite fall activity to add to our list!
So, what will you be doing this lovely fall weekend? Apple picking perhaps?

This looks so perfect! I'm so glad I'm in the Los Angeles area this month (finally purchased my Freutcamp ticket today!) so that I can go to Riley's Apple Farm.

I haven't been to Oak Glen in years - last time I missed the picking part it was too late in the season - I better go before I miss it again!
