    Copa Vida Pasadena

It's not every day that a cute and stylish coffee shop & tearoom opens here in Pasadena, although it seems to be happening more and more lately.  Thanks to my friend Ana Maria, who scoped out Copa Vida and made the recommendation that I give it a try, I was excited to check it out.

Naturally, I called Joanne and we made a lunch date of it.

Copa Vida is clean and modern with two rooms that split the restaurant down it's middle and separates the experiences of tea and coffee.

They also make a mean kale salad which Joanne the kale enthusiast was very excited about. I don't mind a decent kale salad once in a while if it's done well and surprisingly Copa Vida does it very well.

    Copa-Vida

I ordered a cup of hot green tea and a Pistachio & Kumquat Croissant to accompany my Kale Salad which made for a delicious lunch.

It's nice to have a new teahouse and coffee shop in the neighborhood. With all of its natural lighting, delicious pastries, and well-steeped teas, I see myself spending a whole lot of time at Copa Vida! Oh, and Joanne will be back for the Kale..

Me too. Love the shirt. Where is it from? And the pistachio, kumquat croissant - how was it? I'm so intrigued. Love both pistachios and kumquats, but never thought to combine the two...

Thank you! The shirt is from Madewell. And that croissant was delicious and unexpected!

Thanks Freutcake for posting about Copa Vida. I also live in Pasadena and I frequent it quite often. It's nice to see others talking about it too. It's a great spot. Your pictures are amazing and I agree it's a great lunch/coffee spot in Pasadena.
