    5 Weeks of Cookies

Every year my Grandma ships us our Christmas gifts beautifully wrapped, bows and all, just in time to place under the tree for Christmas morning. And nestled in the box, amongst the peanuts and gifts, is always a tin of my Grandma's famous Christmas cookies. It must have been the memories of enjoying her homemade cookies that inspired me (some years back) to start making tins of Christmas cookies to give as gifts to my family and friends.  I can't tell you how rewarding it is to see people enjoy a homemade gift, especially one as sweet as cookies!

This year, instead of traditional gift guides, I decided to share a cookie making gift guide with you! Over the next five weeks leading up to Christmas I will be posting five cookie recipes (one each week) that will be making their way into my annual gift giving cookie tins. The best part: most of these cookies can be made and froze ahead of time, ready to bake and pack just before Christmas. (First cookie recipe posting tomorrow) I may not be a cookie baking expert like my Grandma but I sure hope to inspire and make a few people happy along the way with my homemade gifts. So what about you...do you have a favorite Christmas cookie?
