When you think of iconic, quintessential holiday imagery, what comes to mind? To me, a large bowl of eggnog or some other boozy and festive punch always makes the list. You can almost hear Bing crooning in the background from an old record player while the family dips the ladle in for another glass of punch. Today I’m partnering with Master of Mixes to share a Spiced Holiday Sangria recipe that will last you all holiday season long! Whether you’re planning a holly-jolly Christmas party or looking for a Thanksgiving cocktail that can be made to serve a crowd, this is the recipe for you.
Master of Mixes Red Sangria Mixer, made with premium fruit juices and purees, is the perfect short cut to a quick and delicious holiday cocktail. It’s a blend of red grape juice, lemon juice, lime juice, orange juice, cherry juice and pomegranate juice which makes one killer base for sangria.
I added in dry red wine, brandy (which is a sangria classic,) a bunch of fresh sliced citrus, pomegranate seeds and cranberries to evoke some holiday spirit, and a ton of cinnamon sticks.
Combine it all in a punch bowl or the largest pitcher you can find, and chill. The cinnamon and fruit slices infuse the wine and the red sangria mix makes the entire cocktail sweet and delicious. Cheers!
