Is it really Labor Day weekend already? It seems like summer has just begun and already it's coming to a close. Since Labor Day Weekend is thought to symbolize the end of summer, it only seems fitting to share a Cocktail Friday recipe for a slow summer drink. Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade is sure to make your long weekend even sweeter. Do you have any Labor Day weekend plans?

2 ounces bourbon
2 ounces lemon juice
1 ounce blackberry puree, strained*
1 ounce simple syrup
Dash of aromatic bitters
Dash of sparkling wine
Mint, to garnish
Blackberries, to garnish
Lemon slices, to garnish
1. Mix all of the ingredients except the sparkling wine in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake. Pour into a glass and top with sparkling wine.
2. Garnish with a sprig of mint, fresh blackberries, and lemon slices
