    DIY Glittered Shamrock Pins

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us and if like me you have a lack of green in your closet, these DIY Glittered Shamrock Pins should help. I’m pretty sure wearing mint green won’t be enough to protect me from the dreaded St. Patrick's Day pinches! Plus this project is quick and easy enough to make additional pins for all of your friends or little ones.

    Glittered-Shamrock-Pins

Here’s what you’ll need to make these glittered shamrock pins:

    Small wood hearts
    Flat-edged pins
    Hot glue
    Green paint & paintbrush
    Green glitter

    Let’s get started:

    1. Start with one heart as the base of your pin. Cover the entire heart in hot glue, and quickly attach 4 additional hearts side by side with the points facing in towards the middle. This creates the shape of a shamrock clover.
    2. Paint your first coat very evenly & be sure to cover all of the nooks & crannies.
    3. Quickly paint a second coat, and before your paint dries, add glitter to your shamrock.
    4. Once the glitter has set, attach your pin to the back of the base using hot glue.
    5. Wear to avoid those pesky pinches!
