Setting a Metallic & Wood Thanksgiving Table

Some holidays have better color palettes than others, wouldn't you agree? Like Christmas for example...so much better than the orange and brown tones of Thanksgiving decor! Ironically, there is so much beauty in the rustic colors of a Thanksgiving dinner between a perfectly golden turkey, dark ruby red cranberry sauce, and buttery rolls. However all of that beautiful food can loose it's luster on an orange table cloth! (oy vey) This year I'm setting a metallic & wood Thanksgiving table inspired by natural wooden elements, neutral linens and a heavy dose of gold and silver accents. It's the perfect modern backdrop for a traditional feast! Do you like mixing things up when it comes to holiday color palettes? Metalic-Thanksgiving-Table

for me mixing up holiday palettes is a must. i actually cringe at orange/brown/turkey table tops for thanksgiving. i love the collection you've put together here, plus it can all be reused throughout the year unlike traditional turkey themed decor.

Well said Liz! I too feel like turkey decor is a bit cringe worthy...as is grey gravy. Blech!

I totally agree. I still think Easter has the best color palette! So fresh and lovely. Though this one definitely appeals to me!

Easter colors are so you Jacquelyn! Very feminine and fresh. 🙂

This looks great! I love those metallic pinecone S+P shakers. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I agree the color pallet leaves much to be desired, but I LOVE how you did a bit of rustic glam!

I actually really enjoy the colors of Fall/Thanksgiving. I've always been a neutrals gal and this pretty tablescape that you've created totally plays that up! Those Gather Together plates are too cute and so appropriate for the holiday.

I love the gold for Christmas/Thanksgiving I think it gives a festive tone & brightens the setting of the table... I am thinking of buying a set of gold cutlery this year the one you suggest above is lovely...

      Have a great day!!!

I love this idea! I'm trying something a little different this year and ordered a aubergine table cloth from hen house linens to pair with white, gold rimmed dishes. We'll see how it goes!

I love this combination. Super modern but still a tad bit rustic. The gold flatware is my favorite!
