Growing up our Christmas tree was a colorful mix of ornaments including family ornaments, our childhood favorites, and even a few very old (and very delicate) mercury glass ornaments from when my Mom was little. I always loved the look of those vintage mercury glass ornaments, even with their peeling paint and missing glitter they evoked another time and a feeling of nostalgia. Each year it felt special hanging them delicately on the perfect branch!
This year, I bought some great vintage mercury glass Christmas ornaments on Etsy (from here and here) to add to my own tree. They arrived in beautiful condition and I couldn't be happier at the way they look mixed with my modern balls and ornaments. The mix of old and new gives such character to a Christmas tree, don't you think?
While I was searching for ornaments, I bookmarked a whole bunch of great finds along the way. It's amazing what treasures you can discover if you do a little digging. Here are a few ornaments I found and loved and that are still up for grabs. Happy decorating!

Love this! I started collecting vintage ornaments last year and they are so fun to hunt for. This year, I stumbled across opaque glass Christmas lights, many of which still work when screwed into a strand. I think next year I'm going to go all-in with a hunt for those!
