Ooh, la la! French Pear Martinis anyone? If you are looking for a fabulous New Year's Eve Cocktail Recipe, look no further. This French Pear Martini is the perfect sip to celebrate the new year.
French Pear Martini Recipe
My favorite pear cocktail is a French Pear Martini. It's strong, sweet, and so delicious! I absolutely adore the flavors of both pear and elderflower so this martini hits all of the marks for me. Plus it's fancy enough to taste like a special "celebratory" drink thanks to the splash of champagne, perfect for toasting in the new year!
Ingredients Needed for a French Pear Martini
- St. Germain - this elderflower liqueur is one of my favorite liqueurs. Made from elderflowers it's very floral and sweet and is the perfect complimentary flavor to juicy pear vodka.
- Pear Vodka - I'm not usually a huge flavored vodka fan but I do really love the flavor if Smirnoff Pear Vodka in this cocktail.
- Chilled Champagne - Chose a good dry champagne for this cocktail.
- Granulated sugar- optional for the rim
- lemon and pear for garnish
How to Make a Pear Martini
- Prepare your garnishes by slicing a lemon into wedges and the pear into rounds. To prevent pear from discoloring, squeeze a lemon over cut slices.
- To prepare martini glasses, run a lemon wedge around the rim and dip into sugar. (optional)
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine St. Germain and Pear Vodka. Shake vigorously until well chilled.
- Strain into prepared martini glass and top with champagne.
- Garnish with a round of pear and a festive stir stick.
