Jack O Lantern Snack Board
This Jack O Lantern Snack Board honestly couldn't be easier to assemble, I promise anyone can do it and you only need the right colored foods to pull it off. First, start by shopping for your kid's favorite orange, dark purple, dark blue or black foods.

Of course you can add in any other orange and black foods you might find or love but this is what I used to create my Jack-O-Lantern.
How to make a Jack O Lantern Snack Board
To shape the Jack O Lantern I started with a large round cheese board as my base. Then I formed two simple triangle eyes and a nose using blackberries and a smile with concord grapes. It doesn't have to be perfect, your kid's will love it all the same. Next, line the the eyes, nose and mouth with very straight foods like carrots and bell pepper slices to outline the features. Fill in the rest of the pumpkin with orange foods and add green bell peppers for the "stem." Get creative and have fun with it! I filled lots of space up with orange chips, easy!
Before letting my twins dig into this snack board I removed the gummies and candy corn and set them aside in a small bowl on the table. I also set out a side dish of ranch for dipping veggie in. I let them know that if they ate the healthy snacks, they could have a few pieces of the gummies and candy corn! That way, I prevented the inevitable digging into the candy without touching the veggies. Let's face it, it's just too tempting.
Black and White Jack-O-Lantern Snack Board
Also, you can also creep this pumpkin out by using all "black" and white foods! Recently, my friend Christina and I re-created my orange and black pumpkin with this monochromatic snack look. Dark blue and purple foods, lots of chocolate and white cheese give this Jack-O-Lantern a spooky look.
